As we look forward to celebrating the 30th anniversary of Bondholders at our annual get-together next week, it is time to reflect on a remarkable journey of enlightenment and achievement. Over the past three decades, Bondholders has grown from a revolutionary idea into a strong and successful pan-Humber network of resourceful professionals, dedicated to the prosperity of our region and our people. Our collective accomplishments are testament to the commitment and passion of each and every member.
From fostering partnerships and championing local businesses to becoming an influential and strategically important hub of innovation and collaboration, Bondholders has constantly evolved to enable individuals and organisations to use the power of place to grow and thrive. We have witnessed transformative projects, forged groundbreaking partnerships and celebrated numerous success stories. These milestones form the foundation upon which we will build our future.
As we look ahead, we are determined to seize new and real opportunities. The challenges of a rapidly evolving world require fresh ideas and dynamic solutions and Bondholders, with its brilliant and collaborative membership, is primed and ready to lead the way. With a firm focus on sustainability, inclusivity and technological advancement, we are poised to help each other navigate the complexities of the modern landscape to achieve mutual success.
That was the bold vision of our fabulous founding Chair, Jim Dick. It remains the case 30 years on with yours truly. Bondholders has always been special. I remember well my first Bondholder Breakfast many, many years ago - I am sure you remember yours too. Simply being among like-minded people all wanting to work together for the success of this great region, sharing experiences, exploring opportunities, hearing inspirational stories.... all special ingredients that have remained constant in a remarkable adventure.
Bondholders is a magnificent and unique organisation. Thank you for being part of its incredible journey. Together, let’s continue to inspire, innovate, and achieve extraordinary things. I look forward to seeing you at our celebration in the heart of Hull, the place where it all started, on 27th June. Meanwhile, here’s to the next 30 years of Bondholders!
Bill Walker, Chair, Future Humber

2024 marks 30 years since the launch of Bondholders. As the first Bondholders scheme in the UK, we are proud to have been playing a leading role in promoting and developing Hull and then the Humber region for three decades.
A lot has changed in 30 years and a lot has stayed the same, but we want to know what you were doing in 1994.
